Recommend performance updates

I am the proud owner of a new 08 G-37 Sport and I am really interested in improving its performance, i.e. increase HP and torque, but without waiving the warranty. Any recommendations? Merry Christmas to all!!!!

Exhaust and HFCs have produced the biggest gains. Intakes have produced minimal HP gains on the G37.

Well you could throw some headers on there, on basic servicing they really shouldn't notice them. The new cobb AP is good too. Other than those and exhaust and intake mentioned above not much else you can do if your worried about warrenty

Intake, exhaust, HFC's, And the little mods like spark plugs, sythetic oil, fuel pump (but dont do it until after you break in), aluminum flywheel, coilovers, and of course tuning.

Sometimes, it is not always about how much HP you have but rather how you get that hp to the ground. dropping weight and better suspension helps. Sport package has pretty good suspension which could use coilovers to help with the slight roll that it still has.

Dont do headers, even during an oil change they can see the pipes. Headers is considered a direct engine mod even though it is part of the exhaust.

The Tech 411 section is your friend where you can see what's what and have a better understanding of what modifications will give you what gains and start from there.

Welcome to the forum Ed.

The headers are hard to see up there, they won't bother you on those. My OEM ones were heat wrapped from the factory, which I thought was weird, but they really won't be able to tell the difference unless you tell them lol

They are not that hard to see when you take off the underbody shield. Also, if you get mids or LT's, and SS then they will pop out at you from underneath.

The whole point of the thread is to add performance w/o voiding warranty.
