Help with JWT dual intake installation

Hey guys, I'm attempting to install the JWT dual pop charger, and I have a problem - the left and right mounting brackets don't fit. There's a long one and a short one, and the instructions say to use the short one on the right and the long one on the left. Problem is, with the configuration, they don't come close to fitting:

<a href="http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/jgrossijr/?action=view&current=IMG_0013.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/jgrossijr/IMG_0013.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/jgrossijr/?action=view&current=IMG_0014.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n164/jgrossijr/IMG_0014.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This is as close as the brackets will come to fitting; I've tried everything. The unusual thing is that the long one which is supposed to go on the left fits perfectly on the right, but the short one won't fit on the right.

Has anyone encountered this before and knows what I could be missing? Otherwise, I'm just guessing I got the wrong parts, because the bottom part of the heat shields won't connect either.

Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue but I was using the wrong bracket on each side. I don't remember which one (long or short) went on which side. If you can I would try switching them around to see if it works that way.

I got it to fit long one is on the right future reference if anyone needs it. Directions say right tho... And I also had to take a hammer to the left one and flatten it out to make it fit

Supposably they are redesigning newer ones to address the fit problem on the passenger side. We shall see.

That's just great. What about those of us that bought the first versions with the rushed, inferior design?

I has to macgyver mine to fit at all, terrible bends in the brackets on JWT's part. I switched them out shortly after install because I noticed after a 30 min. drive my heat shields were cool to the touch, but the metal intake housing and filter attachment were hot as a stove. I was disappointed greatly.

Thats strange, i had a older JWT Intake on my g35 and there were no issues.

That and the fact that many, MANY people here have purchased it and the cases of fitment problems are very isolated. Maybe you got a bad set of intakes??
