UpRev - Locals interested?

KK, I'm looking into purchasing the UpRev cord and a license. I'm wondering who would all be interested in this?

Reason being, the Cord itself retails at $699 and the License is $300/per car.

DB Motorsports will tune and estimated about 2-$300 for a full tune if you bring the cord and license.

How I'm looking at it, is it would be he//a nice to have a local shop be able to tune our cars. For all of you, I would purchase the Cord, and charge you like $50-100 to use the cord, you would just need to purchase the License ($250) and then the tune. This would give us a local tune for 5-600, without having to drive all the way to Chicago.

Thoughts????

Sound like a good deal, if you can get the interest. For me, I don't plan on tuning, but hey, I don't know. I'm sure after I get my spacer/mrev/borla in this winter the car would react much better tuned, it would be more or less if I had the spare cash to toss at a tune if I found it needed.

I'm actually already 100% committed to purchasing the cord and license. I just need to decide on which cord.

I've been working with a rep. If we have multiple people that want to tune, there's a standard cord that works easy to transfer more licenses rather then the Tuner one. I need to be able to transfer the licenses onto a laptop, which each cord holds one license until you upload it.

Got TONNNS of information on this. I'm going to do a full write-up and review on it as well.

I already have the license but would throw u $50 to use the cord for another tune to see if another shop could render up some extra power..... do you have the link to the post regarding the ecu relearning the factory settings / overriding the tune???? I've never actually never heard that before and will only believe it if it comes straight from UpRev themselves. Anyone with an intake and exhaust should get this done simply to get the A/F ratio in check which will make your G happy in the long run..... oh yea... and the added power

I called AMS last week and they said it was a complete crock. DB performance said the same thing. Your ECU will NOT override itself once you have the UpRev tune. Its not even possible.

Just a quick point- You can't transfer the Osiris licenses onto the laptop, you have to physically transfer it from the cable to each ecu. One cord, one ecu.

If you can get the license that cheap IMO its worth it just for the increased throttle response...
