Just out of curiosity do you all get you're work done at the dealer/shops? Any one do their own work?

 

My car has never seen a shop since I have owned it. I do all of my own work

 

I usually go to VIP motorsport in BP for stuff I don't want/can't do myself. Body/paint is always handled by the Lupient collision center attached to the Kia delearship.

 

Do you know someone at VIP? Iv heard bad things about area51 now VIP.

 

For the little maintenance this car requires, and what Luther charges me I think is pretty reasonable so I just take it in and let Rudy take care of it. Rather have a certified tech working on my car than me.... When I did mods and stuff though, i did it all myself. But I don't do that anymore so all thats left is general maintenance every 30k lol.

 

If you're looking at regular maintenance, then the dealership is my place of choice.

David at VIP is the only one doing installs on my car.

 

I'm not actually looking for a place, just curious. But if anyone does want to save money and maint/repairs Im ASE certified.def willing to help a fellow g owner. know a lot of electrical tricks too just let me know.

I went to Hennepin tech. Also worked at tires plus for 5 years. Ya now I work at action fleet in Mg building emergency vehicles.

 

Good to hear man, I haven't installed as much stuff as I would like on my G last spring since I was so damn busy with work. But I'll def keep ya in mind if I need anything in the future

 

Did you go to the Eden Prairie Hennepin Tech? I did a HS auto tech class there with Preston (forget his last name lol)
