My driving is pretty extreme, but yeah - I may have just talked myself out of Samco hoses. Oh well. I gotta quit spending money on stuff that looks good, and spend more on stuff that goes good.

I have been trying to figure out what I wanna do here about winter tires.

I'm looking at tirerack now and looks like $1028 for just rubber, blizzacks + shipping. Was thinking to just get the blizzacks for the stock rims and buy different rims (Vossen CV3's looking good) once summer rolls around or worst case I can swap the tread back. The recommendation to get 18's and tread has been throw out there, but then if I choose to get nice rims later on the stock rims are just gonna end up taking up space sitting around.

Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions before I pull the trigger?

Check Craigslist - I looked for snow tires for mine before I bought the Goodyears I have now (the Michelin's sucked in snow). Can probably buy a full set w/rims for under $500

I might be interested in your 19's? Could maybe work out a swap for my 18's and some cash or something? Guess that all depends on what direction you decide to take and what the dealer does to refinish them.

Bummer - just double checked, and I guess I have 17's. Someone else would have to chime in if the 17's would clear the Brembo's. Otherwise if you went with 18's for winter tires, you'd be looking at a set of rims for them as well. In that case, I'd almost just run the 19's in the snow since you have the rims already (or sell them and get the 18's with that money)

17s wont clear his brakes. And i was gonna say, your not on 18s lol.

If you ever go to sell your 19s, chances are you will be able to sell them fairly easily lol.

also im going to change how my tail lights work. ill share my idea, but if any of you have other ideas id like to hear your input, and we could even do it with your cars, this goes for any lights in the car... i want to disable the turn signal bulb, and instead use the led rings. so when i use the turn signal the rings turn on in sequence inside ring then outside ring, then repeat (just like some mustangs do). when the brakes are applied the brake lights come on, when the turn signal is in use the brake light on that side disables, and the rings are used for the turn signal instead. lol let me know if i didnt explain that well enough.

That smart tint thing is cool, but at $1800 (on sale) for the 2 front windows - thats a little crazy. You would be looking at roughly 3-4k to tint the car.

Even for the plate, you'd be looking at ~$500 bucks to blank out your plate? I've got a really nice screwdriver I'll sell you for half that. lol

The taillight thing sounds pretty cool though. I've been debating on tinting mine just enough to take the red "glow" off them so they don't stand out from the black so darn much

license plate smart tint 100$
smart tint , smart glass liscence plate cover , electchromatic eglass

i would think the red glow would remain there because of the reflective housing, you could bake the lights take them apart and paint the parts of the light that you dont want to glow, maybe?

I'm not too worried about actually blacking them out, but with a black car - I'm looking to get rid of the ruby red tails. Maybe just tone them down a couple of shades, so they are more of a maroon color.

$100 for the license tint isn't too bad. I was going from the actual Smart Tint site itself, and figured you'd need the remote and converter and everything from them. Didn't think about just connecting it to the battery and putting it on a switch. Although, I still think removing or installing a hidden plate would be better for asthetics. Having a plate, or having a 6x12 white spot in the middle of my front bumber isn't going to make much of a difference.
