I gotta learn PS. I "picked up" a copy of CS5 to play with. My skillz? I can lower the brightness like a bawler. Other than that, I'm pretty sweet at croppin' too.

I honestly don't know enough about this to use proper terminology lol but the technique used was light painting. It was kinda looked like a high powered light used to illuminate the car and surrounding while taking the picture.

Anyone know any thing about the 2003-2005 G35 coupe headlights? (Non projector ones)

I replaced the main HID bulb (regular night light) with 5000k HID's.

I bought 3000k H4 bulbs for my fog lights (the one under the main light) and I forgot to buy the ballast. I didn't realize that I would be needing it. I am quite new to headlight mods.

Has any one done this before? A few people told me that I would loose my ability to switch from low beam and high beam and would be stuck in high beam all the time. I Wouldn't like that and I am sure 100% of the people driving around me wouldn't either lol.

There's not really a term for it. Its maintaining the long exposures using a tripod and using lights to light up the different angles of the car. Then you combine all of the different photos, photoshop out the actual light wands used, and whaaaala! BADDA$$ photoshoot!!

Do you have stock headlight housings? 03-05 don't have projectors/HIDs, they have a standard halogen bulb. A car doesn't come with stock HIDs unless it has projectors and a cutoff line. Without this, HIDs are actually illegal and EXTREMELY dangerous.

Save up and buy OEM projectors. Its definitely the way to go...

You do need ballasts if you plan on running HIDs in your fogs. You will also need a kit designed for hi/lo. It coems with separate wiring and is kind of a PITA. On my 05 sedan i just did the lows (you really dont need a high beam with 3k HIDs) with 3k and called it a day. I did all that wiring crap for the hi/lows on my sisters old 96 Subaru Outback that I used to drive and it was just a pain. Not worth it to me.

False, Lance. 03-05 DO come with OEM HIDs, its just a reflector housing and not a projector. Reflector housings designed for HIDs aren't bad. And honestly, I run HIDs in my halogen designed fog light housings and they aren't any brighter than any other halogen bulb since its aimed at the ground. Just increases visibility and light output.

There you go Matt. This is a much better explanation. But it has been referred to as "light painting" by Chris and at least one other photographer than I know.

This car is seriously on my radar... may give it some time and see how it progresses, but the reviews are glowing. Decent MPGs, good power, and fun to drive? hmmm...

They are going to make an ATS-V that is going to be comparable to the M3. I'll be curious to see what they do with that.

Looks like a pretty promising car. Really want to take one for a drive.
