Iv been considering doing a clear bra on mine after FL when i get my bumper repainted. I drive all the time, and on the freeway so.... my front end takes a beating lol

If you guys are worried about painters tape coming off, use contact paper. My eyelids are just painted contact paper and goes on/off just like vinyls. It won't go anywhere and will probably provide just as much if not more protection than painters tape....just a thought.

 

Is that what you plan on using?

 

If I even decide to cover then yeah, that's what I'll probably use. My front's chipping and stress cracked already anyways so I might not care enough to. I really don't want the bug splats is more the issue. Takes a while to scrub that stuff off when you drive to the point of it crusting onto the car.

 

If you have a solid coat of wax on the car, bugs just wipe right off lol.

 

I wont be at either. I haven't done powercruise yet, but I don't have the time off his year to try and go. I'm a groomsmen in 2 weddings this summer so my work already. hates me. I also am going to Alaska for a week. No extra time off for this Guy.

Hi everyone I hope you all had a great time at the Luther Infiniti meet, for those who actually stuck through the crappy weather and made it out there! Unfortunately I wasn't one of them... If you guys haven't gotten the word, my friend had a DWI in my car a couple weekends ago, and as we speak, my poor little thing is still sitting at the impound right now... from the looks of it, the stupid city of Oreno, which was where we got pulled over, won't release my car anytime soon yet, so I've decided to go pick up a new car soon. Hopefully today. I'll keep you guys updated.. Have a great day!

Is anyone going to the MNSC meet in Woodbury on Saturday? We went to that one last year, and it was kind of lame. But the weather is looking nice for Saturday.

As for the bra thing. For all the aftermarket front end guys, getting a bra for the front isn't even doable. But for anyone who plans to keep a stock front bumper and want to keep the rock chips away, its worth it.

One other warning on painters tape. If you have new paint that is less than a month old, don't use painters tape. I've seen painters tape remove new paint when it comes off. But this will only happen on very new paint. I saw it happen on paint that was two weeks old.
