No lips being installed today Not enough time.

The front lip isnt even there yet. Probably monday. I'm going to leave my car at home next week when I go up and have my mom run it down to them and get them installed before i get back, since she works like, right down the road from the body shop.

I'll pick them up tomorrow morning at the show. Or atleast the one.

However, I'll be rocking my new wheels tomorrow. Tires are getting mounted as we speak

Hey Janik - didn't you say that you got the upgraded door panels that don't have that rubberized coating on them? We weren't able to find any besides the '10+ and those are triple the price. Marc even went into the back and came out with an armload of panels and just started opening them looking for a different finish. No such luck.

If not, anyone know just how easily the door handles get scratched? Is it worth buying new ones of the same OEM crap, and being careful? Mine are toast, but I'm not sure if replacing them is a realistic option - or if I'm just removing the scratches temporarily. May plastidip mine and see how they turn out in the meantime. That was me. I saw those too. I wonder how much hassle it would be to get the Plasti Dip cleaned off.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Hey RJ. Plastidip is really easy to peel off, so I would say this is a good option for you.

I was looking for stock 19's for a long time and I think 1,300 shipped is a fair price. I bet he would take it.

Its Diego selling them. He actually has a min price he can't go under.

To go off that, to help out local guys in pricing, LOOK ON CRAIGSLIST. Last year when I was considering picking up a stock set for spare, I found a dealer in North Carolina selling on CL for 900 shipped for a set of 4 with 80% tread life. Also, keep an eye in chicago area too, quite a few pop up from there.

Good morning all, looked to be quite a slow day on the forums.....everyone looking forward to bailing in one week?!

Lance you will just have to tell me what time you guys leave from your place, then I can just be waiting at Tomah and we can grab food at the Subway off of 94 and use the bathrooms for those of us that might have to go. I'm going to go through and attempt to clean my car Sunday night or at least the front enough so I can stick the tape to clean paint.

I'm glad I won't be there when you leave....this would totally be Lance

Wheels....so many questions....

I am looking at wheel options and have pretty much decided I want to run a square set-up on my X so I can rotate the tires and avoid any possible AWD issues. I had decided to run 19's.....but then I found these, Concept One CSM 7, and of course they only come in 20's.

My question, if I decide to run 20's, these come in 20 x 9 with a 25 or 36 offset. I want to run the same wheel on all four corners with no rubbing or poking issues dropped on Swift X springs, so I am assuming the 36 offset and spacers.......correct??

Sure glad I decided not to mod this car......

Thanks guys,
RJ

Dude RJ, were u creeping outside my window last night????? My buddy just got an 08 IP G35X sedan and we were talking about this SAME wheel last night dropped on swift springs!! Tevi can second this too haha. Looks so clean on the sedans! I think ur offset may be a bit agressive with the +25 so I would go with the +36 without me doing much research but I agree doing the square setup on the awd.

Peace out,
D Wan

I would agree 100% with Dan on this one. Do a +36 offset and you could run a 245/245 tire front and back. As long as you have the same offsets you could rotate to your hearts desire Do bear in mind that the G has a complicated awd system that diverts most of, or all of the power to the rear wheels, so you COULD get away with running a staggered setup unlike Audi or BMW x system (only for looks in this case really) but that would take away from your primary idea of wanting to rotate the tires.

I love the look of that sedan tho, you should get it and come out to some gatherings with us!
