I would say that's an understatement for sure....

Got my gen3s installed tonight. Took a quick spin with Dan to pick up his brother. Definitely liking the sound over 5500 rpms. Some gains...but not as noticible as my Rhfcs were.

Nicely done Guess you're ready for saturday. My car should be done tomorrow. He still had the rear camber kit, rear sway bar and ambient lighting kit to put in. Last we spoke he estimated it would aligned and ready by early afternoon tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I just finished installing the HKS Clone Exhaust, I must say. Im deaf from all of the drone. Its a bit raspy at 3500-5000 RPM. But I love the low rumble from 600-3000 rpm.

Hey Ezpotatoe, how the hell can you live with the massive drone? Do you have the resonated X pipe from magnaflow? I heard its drastically reduces the drone and raspy noise at higher RPMS.

I may just end up selling it, I cant handle the drone O_O. If i decide to sell it I might do a muffler delete and have a custom Y-pipe at the end to make a dual exhaust. I took off the muffler and started the car and I enjoyed that sound.

Right now I am going to look for the Magnaflow X pipe and have my shop teacher weld it on.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and clean my TB and MAF today. Doesn't sound hard at all (even with all the horror stories about it)

Plus putting on the Stillen Gen2 CAI today over at Janiks with everything else that's going on there.

I had a random thought pop into my head last night, and thought that I would ask on here. Anyone have a red 37 coupe that either lives or drives in the Coon Rapids area? Last summer/fall I raced someone on Coon Rapids Blvd and we talked at a couple of lights. Was a younger fella with a buddy of his in the car.

(oh... another random tidbit - I changed my avatar to Brian..... since I'm Brian. Just makes it easier I guess. Too bad there wasn't a Lance avatar the other day, got confused with the *cleanG, didn't realize there were 2 of you rocking that name)

I installed my strut bar last night...found out the yayhoo who installed my coils feels like he used an impact gun or air tools to screw them down.....so I have two of the original bolts on there plus my strut bar and then I flipped the screw over and put that on top of the original bolt. I'm just a little concerned that the bolt is too high and any extreme cornering might cause an issue. Otherwise its all set! I can't remember if I had a set of nasty scratches on my hood, I wanna say I noticed at a CnC last year, but either way I see it now and it's bugging the SHIZ out of me :'( I hope to be in bed tonight by 2a at the latest and be up at 4am tomorrow to get cleaned up packed and head up to the cities. I might see if I can get there early enough and get another coat of wax on. I'm nervous about leaving my car outside with the frost, but I fear if I don't leave it outside I'll be blocked in the garage by a group of drunk people fml lol

It would have gone a LOT faster if I would have been able to raise my car right away, but with having to take off my strut bar first, I couldn't put the car on jacks because my struts would have fallen right out....so I had to do all work on by the throttle bodies and manifold first, put the tubing in, then put the cover and strut bar back on. (through this though, i found out why my strut bar rubs on my heat shield on my hood...I never knew they were adjustable height wise?? WHO WOULDA THOUGHT? )

THEN I could jack the car up to remove the front bumper. I never realized that I can't even fit my damn arm under my car with a wrench to remove the bolts under the bumper cover unless i jack my damn car up.

Thanks Dan for stopping by and being my ginny pig. I'm one that sets tools down, and can be right in front of me ..yet I can't find it anywhere. Or i lay down on the ground or under the car to realize I grabbed the wrong wrench or needed a flashlight.

ANYWAYS, the install went great. All the complaints of people installing it, they suck ballz at life. I dremeled out the pieces JUST ENOUGH for the piping to fit through(which literally isn't much at all), so the piping doesn't move and is extremly snug. Therefore there's ZERO "rubbing issues" that so many b*tch about.

Yeah, after hearing Dave's 350 w/ the HKS replica, and then hearing Emad's, there's DEFINITELY somethign different about Emad's. Dave and him both have resonated test pipes from Topspeed, yet Dave's is VERY DRONEY, LOUD, and RASPY. Emad's may be loud, but IMO it sounds damn good and mean, especially with being boosted.

daves is ridiculously loud. yes, there is drone, even out of the box, but it wasnt unbearable. mine got a lot "dronier" after installing the resonated test pipes, but i dont have much rasp at all, just a really deep rumble that gets on my nerves.

i dont like my drone at all, but being boosted and that BPV making all that noise, it only sucks when someone is riding with me or when i'm trying to get on the phone.

it's all really opinion, but i dont get why there are so many different results coming out up here. I'd have to hear yours to see if thats what mine sounded like. I knew 3 people ion dallas who had the same topspeed exhaust (HKS clone) and all sounded the same like mine.

I was told by one of my friends that the exhaust has a break in period, I highly doubt it. I am coming to Cars and Coffee so your going to hear it ^^. My bumper's paint near the tip area is starting to come off. I gotta bring it to the shop today and have it realigned.

But for now it will be fine. I am going to get the Magnaflow X-pipe. Alot of people say it removes most of the droning and most of the rasp sound.

My friend now calls my car a suped up civic >< damn rasp.

12:14. T-minus 4 hours and 46 minutes. I sure hope Chuck Norris gets me outta this, since he was the one to get me in this mess to begin with.

Detailed my interiour and under my hood. CAI sounds bad ***. Still have lag like a **** - anyone have any ideas lemme know.

Going to bed, gotta make the most out of the 4 hours of sleep I'm gonna get by morning. Not gonna carry tomorrow either. Not sure that I'm going to make it below the .04 by morning. Booo. Although I doubt there's many terrorists and thugs at C'n'C at that time of the morning.
