You can set it different for the door handle button and remote.

I'm not sure how it is on the G37s but I know that with the G35s if you hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob, it will toggle between beeping and not beeping! i'd try that next time you're next to the car.

The G37s have the ability to toggle between two modes called "hazard indicator and horn mode" and just "hazard indicator mode". Looks like you need to hold both lock and unlock buttons down for 2 seconds. I'm guessing that is how you got it switched on you. I know you can change the settings on the menu screen. I think its under settings then comfort. But I'm not near my G right not to check.

I'll attach the owners manual pages on how to switch modes with the remote and what the modes mean.

later,
Curt

Well, I'm an idiot. I could not find any settings in the menu screens to change the beeps. Its only via the remote to toggle between those modes. I must of read the manual at one point and thought those two modes could be found on the menu screens. Or I use to live in some other reality. grrrr.

Sweet, thanks Curt and Hosam.
Lance, if you hold just the unlock button, it'll open the windows for as long a you continue to hold the button.

I'm guessing it got switched one day while the fob was in my pocket. I do remember the locks locking right after I sat down in my car. I'll have to try to switch it back when I can give this damn Kia Soul back for my G with some fresh paint on the bumpers.

I've noticed that the key fob buttons get easily pushed when in your pocket. I've had my panic alarm, trunk pop, and windows go down on me several times now. I make it a habit now to not have my keys in my pocket when I'm working in the garage.
