In the cold it sticks to and you can hear it rubbing until you let the clutch all the way out... Just very noisy. Dunno if changing the fluid to something different would quiet it up.
I have some what the same problem. But Iam not changing the oil for another 1000-1200 miles nor do I know which oil I want to use. I do agree the grind in neutral in a drive through is embarrassing, I just have the clutch pushed in to eliminate the noise. I also get the whining noise in the cold, its at low RPMS 1-3k RPMS but after that you cant hear it.

I might get my whole transmission replaced this summer. I am getting the 5th gear syncro grind quite a few times this week. Maybe the new revision tranny will be quiter lol

I got a brand new transmission and it was quiet for a little bit but all the same noises came back ASIDE from the grinding that it did when I put it into 6th.

I asked Rudy from Bloomington about it and he said fluids can make a big difference in noises so I may take his advice. Going to call him next week before I bring the car in and ask him about it as well as a few other things. We will see what he has to say.

Rudy is awesome, he took care of some of the issues for me without hassling me. I wish that trait would carry over to other departments @ that dealership.

are you guys talking about the same thing? Oscar, i think the 1st gens do that. there is a sound from the gear box when you're in neutral and the sound goes away when the clutch is engaged (which is why i tend to have the clutch engaged when turning the car off so i don't hear that awful sound). and Janik, if i understand you right, you're getting the sound when the clutch is engaged right?

also, how often are we to change the gear box oil? it seems like you didn't have to Janik since you're car is fairly new!
