Just spent over $50- on sushi yesterday...I have to take it easy on the "going out to eat" events...so I might have to pass.
so guys i thinking about getting my engine bay polished..... i guy quoted me 200$ for the upper plenum, timing cover, and the spacer polished. idk should i do the lower plenum too? can we really see the lower plenum?

Still waiting for him to post up what he bought
I'm just thinking out loud but since there is a dramatic change in temperature here in MN, it is recommended to get the copper spacer for its resistance to the change in temp (contracting and expanding). if the outer edge of the spacer is polished (which would limit the expansion and contraction of the outer edge), it might either unable the spacer to adapt to the temp change (which i'm not sure what exactly that would do) or crack when the spacer expand and contract anyways since the polish isn't strong enough to prevent it from doing so. again, i'm just thinking out loud here, i now that this would have a significant affect on it if the polished area was larger than what it actually is but its still something to think about. of course if the spacer isn't copper to begin with, then i'd think my argument is mute.
Can someone please tell Andrew what wheel to buy. He can't make a damn decision to save his life and its getting to the point where i feel its unhealthy how much he looks at wheels hahahaha
I don't think it's copper it's aluminum. The only thing that looks like it's copper is the gasket or whatever they call it that go between the upper plenum n tb. I did get the copper iso thermal spacer. Oh hell I'll just give it a try. If it **** up then u guys can avoid polishing ur spacer. N btw I still haven't gotten an answer for u folks about the TC removal please chime in
I Wana polish it but if I have to take the engine out then forget it.

I Wana polish it but if I have to take the engine out then forget it.Its actually pretty pointless to polish is for the fact that you only see 5/16" of it???
I'm pretty certain he is talking about the upper plenum itself, not the 5/16" Spacer itself....at least I would hope he was talking about the top part, cuz the piece that is polished is super small and extremely rough. I added the copper thermal kit, it's essentially designed to flow coolant through the throttle body to keep it from freezing open or closed with the increased area....
