100% agree, i tried to get rid of rust on my first car by sanding down until i saw metal again, then body filler, then paint and it came back a couple of years later after spending a good amount of money on it. i would recommend replacing the metal let people are saying by cutting off the piece around the infected areas or replacing the whole part like you're thinking about doing. but either way, do something about it now!

Tevi those wheels look odd/different, i like em.

and Andrew, 20" won't look big on 1st gens. the wheel well on our cars are so huge that my 19" look kinda small. and i think the lower your car the bigger your rims will look. therefore, if you think the 20s will look huge in addition that you are not lowered yet, i don't think you have much to worry about. thats my 2c on that.

He's lowered already and doesn't want the poor ride quality. Also the wheels are a tad large on the sedans unless your slammed lol

All the first gen sedans that are running 20's are absolutely slammed. I don't know how they would look with just springs in. Maybe we will test fit Janiks 20's and see how they look on my car when he finally buys them. Unfortunately I think I will have wheels by that time. And then I would lose some sidewall as well

Also, looks like i'v got some warranty work to do... if i take my engine cover off my car while its running, and unscrew the middle screw, by the time it gets all the way out, the gas starts blowing air out and the idle shoots everywhere and it nearly dies.

Talked to Rudy this morning from Bloomington and he said that should not happen and he knows because they drive around in cars all the time without engine covers making sure things work properly before putting them back together.

He thinks Lupient may have cracked the intake manifold or upper plenum when they did all that work on my car last summer. Car's gonna be dropped off over spring break and hopefully fixed. Weird part is, the car pulls 0 codes when you scan it.

Little update for you fellaz on my life...

2nd interview is on Monday for the potential promotion. I'm VERY excited, but very nervous. I love where I'm at, but the opportunity is a great one. I'll be the same position within US Bank, customer service manager, but at a larger branch(DT St Paul which is a difficult branch), extra week of vacation, no saturdays, and a merit increase.

We shalllll see!

difficult as in...not as often do customers go into a downtown branch anymore unless you work down there. Parking issues, traffic, etc. Its all about outsourcing and thinking of creative ways to continue to bring business in from all over.

You'll definitely excel there since you're damn good at thinking outside the box and figuring out what's next! Good luck dude and keep us posted

You could save some money and do the polishing yourself. I did all my own polishing on my 3/Ses. Here is a pic:

It is a lot of work and is kind of tedious, but I think its worth it. Plus you do need to touch it up every year or two to keep it looking good.

I will be home by the end of April. We are leaving a couple weeks early. No specific dates because they are classified Secret. Finally I was able to pay the 6K down payment for the G. We had to do multiple small payments because wells fargo was not willing to raise my spending limit for the day. dam wells fargo. wheels will ship within the next couple days and so will the car.

I know this post is from last week, but I have something to add. Most AWD cars need to have all four wheels off the ground when being towed. All of my Mitsus have a viscous center differential that doesn't like to have the front wheels spinning at a different rate than the rears. Towing like they did with that Lambo would destroy the center differential. It would burn it out in a matter of minutes. I'm not exactly sure how the Lambo is set up or even if that one is AWD.

So if any of the AWD guys need a tow. Be safe and insist on a flatbed.

Curt
