Thinking about it...I bought my car with 25 miles on it...and it sits at about 31k now, so I did put 6k on it...but about 2k I put on it within the first 2 days of driving it home.

I won't disagree that our cars are made to be driven, but I 100% agree w/ Peng...I just don't have far to drive, and times I do drive, are ususally to a destination..such as C&C...Chicago for WEKFEST....plymouth for RK meets, and then there's the cruises we do. I obviously don't DD my car, for one its only 5 miles from home, but 2 I can't get my car into my work parking lot because of the steepness of the curb.

I'm just very picky when it comes to when and where I'll drive the car as well. The car has seen a SPRINKLE of rain 1 time, and will never EVER see a spec of salt/snow. My coils/suspension components are 100% like new, my exhaust doesn't have a single blemish to find. Its just a matter of what you're using your car for too.

North Carolina and Florida...miiiight be tough for me @ times!! Hopefully we have great weather our week and a half we're down there!

i put 36k on my mazda3 hatch in 18 months. keep in mind, that was WITH 2 CARS, and I travelled about 50% of the time, so you can imagine how much i drove when i was home in the Mazda alone.

*******
My issues with boost are minor, once it was big, it was fuel issues that a fuel return system fixed, and one time my COG belt for my blower broke, but other than that, it's been small things. It's just the more AFTERMARKET abusive things you add to your car, the amount of things that can go wrong multliplies soo fast. I got to a point where i dont take the g on road trips or even more than 50 miles from the house, and also have AAA now as well... not that it probably couldnt make it, but if something happened, it's a lot harder to get it fixed while your out in the middle of a highway miles from a city, and then finding someone trustworthy to fix all the aftermarket stuff. hope that makes sense. but i also drove a lot for my job, and needed a reliable car, that's why i've always had a DD.

That's crazy to think about....you'd almost feel scared to leave the driveway w/ your car? Travis who lives west of the cities is boosted(SC), and drives his car HOURS at a time. He has to drive nearly an hour just to get into the cities which he drives every meet we have, and then we also go for cruises after that 2-3 hours which he has zero issues.

Yeah it does make sense. You're actually not the only one I spoke with who has had major issues. So far only the people with the Stillen kit have had major issues as their worst case. Those with the GTM kit have only experiences minor things like oil leakage, battery drainage or issue with maintaining boost level. All were easy fixes and did not reoccur. In the end, None of them regret going the FI route. Which kit are you running and how long have you had it? I've personally made up my mind on GTM TT but man that is expensive

I'll have to speak with Travis some more next year but I'm pretty sure I recall him saying he had a few minor things here and there.
