That s intense Once I go FI the G won't be a DD that s for damn sure.

Update!!

The door has been popped back onto the tracks so we can now open and shut it. The lowest panel is pretty busted though. At the very least we ll have to replace that. The tech will be calling me later quotes on:

-Brand new steel insulated door and hardware
-Brand new steel non-insulated door and harware
-Replacing the lower wood panel

Either way it sounds as if it could be cheaper to pay out of pocket than using our homeowners insurance. Still haven't hear from them Glad I took the proactive approach and just called a shop in the area to come take a look at our garage door. They did it free of charge too

Tevi - who did you use for service? I'd like to get someone to come out and look at my actual double stall motor...its gettin' pretty freakin' loud, think a spring might be broken.

I'm already due for my first oil change. I'm on the fence about running synthetic oil in my G. Just curious what you guys think about that and if you do? I'm sure I will end up doing it, but just not 100% on it yet. I think if I do Synthetic Oil I will do the Mobil 1 5w-30 Extended Performance

Sorry bud. Don't know too much about that. I've been running whatever the manufacturer/Dealership recommends and sadly I don't even know what that is

It's cool. I just feel really guilty putting new oil and a filter in a few weeks before it goes into storage, but w/e lol

I've read that it's better to let new oil sit in the engine over the winter than changing it in the spring. ( Just what I have heard )

Vossen just posted some CV3's on a G35 Coupe that is actually lowered on coils!!! Every other picture I have seen with the CV3's and G35 has been just thrown on stock set up. Cannot wait to see the full car, but it still isnt my Matte Graphite finish

They replaced my entire engine (long block). A short block is basically just the heart of the motor... With a short block they'll be reusing many parts from your existing motor-disassembling and reassembling many parts to "fix" the issue. A long block replacement is basically an entirely new motor already assembled and intact that they just swap in.

I cannot wait either Tevi... I will probably be getting a new brake kit along with the CV3's since they show SOOO much with the narrow 5 spokes. I am bummed Infiniti didn't realize until the 08' G37 Coupes to put the Akebono big brake kits in the sport models . The price to upgrade to the 14'' Akebono brakes w/ Stoptech rotors are pretty reasonable at least
