They replaced my entire engine (long block). A short block is basically just the heart of the motor... With a short block they'll be reusing many parts from your existing motor-disassembling and reassembling many parts to "fix" the issue. A long block replacement is basically an entirely new motor already assembled and intact that they just swap in.
I cannot wait either Tevi... I will probably be getting a new brake kit along with the CV3's since they show SOOO much with the narrow 5 spokes. I am bummed Infiniti didn't realize until the 08' G37 Coupes to put the Akebono big brake kits in the sport models
. The price to upgrade to the 14'' Akebono brakes w/ Stoptech rotors are pretty reasonable at least

I'm already due for my first oil change. I'm on the fence about running synthetic oil in my G. Just curious what you guys think about that and if you do? I'm sure I will end up doing it, but just not 100% on it yet. I think if I do Synthetic Oil I will do the Mobil 1 5w-30 Extended Performance
Its a synthetic blend....its NOT synthetic. Oil changes are what...30 bucks? where if we got true synthetic they'd be upper 80-100 range.

hahaha
I did my first oil change on my G a couple of months ago. I have a thread in the MN section about it. I went with Mobil One since that is what I'm already using in my other cars. Heck, I've been using Mobil One since before most of you guys could drive. LOL
later,
Curt

I can't even take my car to a dealer to get oil changes...Luther told me they won't even attempt to put my car on the lift...LOL! Its not my fault they don't get low-profile lifts...WEAK!

that is weak! earlier this week we brought ryan's sedan in so they could reinstall a new navi and rudy happened to be there...we were talking about luther hiring a tech just for mods...also, he mentioned they were bringing a few of their cars to the C & C next month..but they didn't say dealership cars or their own. i mentioned it would be a good idea to advertise at the C & C..possibly mod a few of their cars up for show. don't know how far thats going to go, since they seem to be indecisive about everything else...

We all know that there's not a SINGLE WORKER in that entire Infiniti dealership that actually OWNS and DRIVES an Infiniti. ...that's why they're always so freakin' clueless about them
2 things that stand out to me are....1, at the top of the peak, its literally STRAIGHT UP, and STRAIGHT down. half the riders are literally still on the way up when the tip is over!.....and 2, the only thing I don't think I'd like about this ride is the FIRST thing that happens after "the drop" is a quick sharp turn flipping clockwise. If you're dropping the "world record 43 meters @ 100mph", you would think they miiiight want to wait like 2 seconds before jerking you around into a flip? hmmm, just watchin it I felt like my neck broke..LOL! sick ride though, thanks for sharing this Trev!
That site has some crazy ish on there

Lets hope thats not the case..
I know what wheels I'm getting.. and no hints. Guaranteed to be hawt as ***** and with the slam I will finally be able to roll with the 37's and get equal opportunity neck breaking
There's no way a dealership can actually modify their cars. The only thing they can really do is just bring dealership cars to the show.

i wish the staff would actually make an effort to learn about the cars...they're really great cars once you know a bit about them!
