I spoke with a company in Northern IL this morning....they told me they could TT my M with a rear exhaust turbo, custom fabricate an intake and maybe exhaust if need be for about 10Gs...kinda wish I woulda known that a few months ago :/

Mike, are you talking about a setup like the STS turbos? If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, YouTube it! They sound so sick...especially on V8s ;-)

You sure that's what you want out of your M? Thought one of the reasons you went w/ you're M over a coupe was NOT spending mods as much towards under the hood? hmmm

I'm not sure, but he said that the rear turbo setup is highly impractical and any issues that you would normally have with a turbo would be multiplied with a rear turbo kit....plus 10k is a nice downpayment on a 996

Haha, yea it would be FUN....but very unlikely. Given that would get me a long ways with pretty much anything...not to mention how much I would be spending, then repairs, and a whole list of crap to deal with. Plus it would be a huge payment towards the car itself, which would be much more responsible

thats exactly what i'm saying... regardless of the problems, if you're thinking to pay another 10Gs then sell your M and add those 10Gs and get a Porsche or something similar... you know what im sayin
