Lack of power due to cat restriction?
2008 G37S 5AT. Bone stock. 160k
Recently my car has been down on power. It also has an odd pinging situation after sitting at a red light about 15 min into my drive. I run only 91 octane and occasionally a bottle of 44K.
I'm thinking my cats may be near the end of their life? Thoughts? I'm also curious if now is a good time to do hi-flo cats or ART pipes or something similar. However, I have no desire to need a tune and start doing heavy mods. I wouldn't mind a little more growl, but I'm not a race guy. I don't want a CEL when I'm finished.
