Help Catalytic Converter Rattle
Recently my car has developed a rattle coming from the catalytic converter. I suspect the honeycomb mesh inside has become loose and is rattling around inside of there. The state I live in doesn't require emission tests and are very lenient on car mods and everything. Would a cat delete be a good idea? Might sound dumb but I don't know how well it would sound with just a cat delete with stock mufflers. If anyone has any experience or knowledge on the subject it would be greatly appreciated. 2009 G37x Coupe.
How many miles? If I'm not mistaken, the catalytic converter is covered under the federal emissions 8 year 80k mile warranty.
There's alot of aftermarket options for both Test Pipes (no-cat) and High Flow Cats: https://conceptzperformance.com/item...5&p=323&page=1
Rasp and sensor issues appear to be common problems when eliminating the stock cats, but there are alot of work arounds offered for both here in the forums.
