Advice on painting or wrapping intakes

Hello , I got a takeda cae for my g37x sedan , I originally wanted to powdercoat the pipe , but im thinking about wrapping them with 3m vinyl. Do you think it will work ? Considering the engine bay heat and stuff , will the vinyl wrap hold up to the heat ?
I welcome any advice on this ,
thank you all

Should be fine, just imagine how hot a cars finish gets sitting in Arizona sunlight, too hot to touch for sure, but I hope you have a lot of patience if you want it perfect….wrapping a pipe with bends in it is kinda hard.

Thats kinda different…I’ve wrapped stuff before, and a lot of things are pretty easy, but an intake tube usually has bends in it, and is hard to get perfect.

Please explain how wrapping a round tube should be easier than wrapping small chrome trim pieces and a relatively flat roof?

He can correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's referring to the change of angle in the actual tubing not just the round portion of the tube itself. For example the 90 degree angle for long tube intakes that side in-front of the radiator.

I've seen the Honda dudes wrapping their pipes with gold wrap. Supposedly deflects the heat away

I’ve seen that as well, not on Hondas, but G35s and 350zs.
