I replaced the oem resonators with a pair of vibrant resonators part # 1790
2 1/4" and from y pipe back is now 2 1/4 pipe all the way back to the tanabes.I am very happy with the sound. (and if i knew i was going to spend about $850 i would have done a full cat back! )

Sounds great! I'm considering doing the same thing since there's no midpipe for the sedan. Do you have any drone?

I am new to this site. I have a 2011 g37xs. 40,000 miles. Looking for a raspy louder sound. Love the car. Am looking into carbon fiber for hood, roof and trunk. My client who owns a lexus wrapped a few of his hoods for an opening. Anyway, any help with exhaust would be appreciated.

Pretty much any high flow cat and whatever catback you choose will produce the sound you are looking for. As always, do your research before and choose the options that best suit your needs.

Hello,

I know this is an old thread but I thought I would add to it since it was one of the posts I used on the MyG37 site to influence my decision to replace the stock 18" resonators.

After years of debating on this mod in my head, I purchased the Vibrant 1790 12" resonators (Vibrant Performance .) and had an established muffler shop here in San Diego install them on my 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan with the Tanabe Medallion axleback (~$160).

The muffler shop was impressed with how good the car sounded and they told me that every G37 on the road should run this combo; I gave credit to the MyG37 community for figuring out the G37 Sedan exhaust sweet spot. Similar to the shop I used, I felt this is how the G37S should have sounded from the factory.

Mike

I too have the same setup and have been really loving it. Sounds incredible --That being said I would like it to be a little louder as after about the first month and the winter ended its mellowed out a LOT. Does anyone know what my options are for that without losing the tone? I've read like a million forum posts and HFC's keep coming to my head (either FI or Kinetix). Open to input and may start a new thread on this as well!
