ART pipes vs FI RHFC vs resonated test pipes loudness

I have the Stillen catback and Fast Intentions Resonated HFC right now.

I miss some of the volume I had when I used to have a straight single exit and stock cats, but I don't want cold starts to be excessively loud. I miss being able to be louder in tunnels and under acceleration.

The tone of the Stillen and FI RHFC combo is nice but I want more volume and the power that could come from test pipes is nice too (and potentially flames/better pops).

I'm wondering what the loudness difference is between FI RHFC and ART pipes as well as the loudness difference between resonated test pipes and ART pipes.

ART pipes will be louder but not sure on the rasp comparison.

I've always thought rasp was best resolved through the use of resonators, the more the merrier. Your RHFCs from FI are probably doing their job to reduce rasp. And after years here on this site, reading tons of opinions, while having a few myself and hearing a number of cars at meet-ups... I've always felt that the Stillen catback muffled exhaust noise more so than any other aftermarket catback. Right or wrong... not sure if there is a "right" or "wrong". For the Sedan, isn't the Stillen CBE configured with 2.25" pipes? Pretty sure a 2.5" or wider setup would increase volume, or at the least lower the tone.

I've always suspected that a pair of Fast Intentions resonated high flow cats, matched to either the ARK Grip or Motordyne Shockwave catback, would be an excellent setup. The combo of resonated cats with wide pipes and Helmholtz resonators at the end... that could be fantastic.

You know, although he's moved on, 4DRZ had a stillen catback on an otherwise very modified N/A sedan 6MT. Maybe reach out to him to add his opinions here? He's always been pretty helpful.

Didn't mean to post this in reviews section.

I've decided to try out the Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes. Not necessarily any time soon but maybe if someone sells some used ones I'll pick them up sooner.

So strangely enough I had Berk HFC paired with my ARK exhaust and like you, I wanted a little bit louder. Picked up ART pipes and basically sounded exactly the same....except my exhaust smelled like crap. Obviously different set up and pairing but take that for what you will
