Resonated Test pipes? Rasp?

Hey guys, i'm interested in buying either resonated test pipes or a hfc but couldn't decide between the two. I came across a really good deal on a brand new set of Berk Resonated test pipes and want to know if anyone has had experience with these? I'm really trying to stay away from rasp or at least keep it to a minimum. Right now my current set up is a ARK full catback, and stillen gen3 intakes. Please post if you've had experience with these test pipes or test pipes in combination with my current setup! Thanks, i appreciate it...

Only experience I have is my setup with MXP dual resonated test pipes, mated to my Fast Intentions CBE, and the sound was awesome. Deep and smooth, with 0 rasp. selling them as well if you are interested lol. Haven't heard the Berks in persone, I've hear the FI RHFC and Motordyne ART pipes, both sounded good, although the ART pipes did have some slight rasp, but i'm not sure what exhaust they were paired with.

Every cat back system will sound different. Im running gtm rtp's and invidia q300 and it sounds nice and deep and def maintains that smooth VQ sound with not a drop of rasp at all.

Your best best would be resonated high flow cats. FI makes a great product. ARK already sounds deep, that will maintain the tone, just increasing the volume with the RHFCs.

Ahh i see. Thanks for the info dude! I was leaning towards hfc's (rhfc to be specific) but just wanted to see if this deal on rtp's were worth giving a shot. I will def keep that in mind if i do decide to go down the rtp path. thanks

Hey Lance. I saw on one of your other posts that the resonated test pipes dyno'd a few more ponies then the RHFC. Have you or they (F.I.) ever done a sound decibel level comparison, in cab or outside the car, between the FI resonated test pipes and FI resonated high flow cats? I live where they don't require emissions so was wondering the noise/sound difference. Thx.

This is a hard measurement to take because of the fact that there are so many different options for F.I.'s resonators in the catback alone.

Its obvious that the TP's will be louder then the RHFC's, but how much louder, no we do not have a measurement in decibels, sorry.

Well there's an app for that

If you have android search for "sound meter" in play store and well for the iphone users you can do your own search

Any updates OP? I actually installed a brand-new set of BERK RTP paired with Motordyne E370. Only put 70miles on it so far but my exhaust note gotten deeper compared to my previous non-branded RTP's (got scammed by a member while back fml) still sounded nice hahah

Drone is subtle so not too worry about it. Rasp I haven't notice any so far but I'll get back when I put more miles on it.
