I made a video comparing my friend's ISR and Megan Racing y pipes. He's awd and had both on his car.
he has the ISR headers also and ran into a bit of clearance issues with the ISR y pipe. It was touching the chassis on the driverside, but didn't have that problem with the megan racing. he eventually bought a HBP resonated y pipe.
Thanks for sharing! What do you think has better build quality to use with stock mid-pipe and better against salt in harsh winters?

hard for me to say about which is best for salted winters. I'm not familiar with the grade of metal used. my Hall Built y pipe is 304SS and it seems that Megan Racing is also. I havne't found what the ISR is as it only says stainless. I am not sure if any brand makes a 316SS.

All,

I have been reading reviews where the Megan Y-Pipe's flex pipe starts leaking or breaking within a year or so, seen numerous complaints about that. It seems my only option is to try to find an newer OEM or ISR? Does the ISR work with the stock mid pipe and cats?

Where exactly did you order your ISR Y-Pipe from? Do you know if it'll work with stock cats and mid-pipe?

Thanks!

the ISR is a 3" outlet like most aftermarket y pipes. It'll bolt up up to the stock cats and mid-pipe but may cause the sound to change due to the piping transition.

Ah, good point. I noticed all after market seems to be 3" for the mid-pipe connection. Maybe just get that matches OEM from eBay and get OEM gaskets. Issue is it seems common for the flex pipe to break/loosen so maybe get a pipe without the flex, any issues with that?

I'm still looking for a Y-Pipe. Anyone have a link to a Y-Pipe that will 100% fit the G37X (AWD) Sedan along with having the outlet being 2.5" instead of the 3" outlets that most of the after market Y-Pipes have? I've researched the forums and seems many regret the 3" outlet as creates much rasp/drone with their mid-pipes.

Thanks!

@ZzBloopzZ did you see my earlier post? #13

I'm not sure if the Y Pipes are the same between a G37x Sedan and a G37x Coupe, but if they are...... well..... you could have resolved your issue weeks ago.....

Well in the video he measures the piping on camera for the measurements, he is really reputable person. I would trust that the most over a forum post.

Hello Pope,

I'm SO sorry but missed this message somehow. Do you still happen to have the Y-Pipe?

Thanks!
