Next step for exhaust set up?

Hey all,

so I installed the tanabe medalion on my '12 G37x sedan and have put about 600 miles through it and it doesn't sound too much, but it's definitely not much louder than stock.

What would the best next movie be for a jump in exhaust decibels? I've been looking at berk res test pipes vs kinetix HFCs, and I'm leaning more towards the test pipes. Any advice?

Thanks y'all

I would recommend getting HFCs. I have ART pipes on and they stink...not the biggest fan of test pipes.

How big of a difference is there in decibels? Would you happen to have an idea? I know either will be much louder than the restrictive OEM cats

I've heard many exhaust setups and one of the best I've heard is the top speed axle back with berk resonated test pipes. The only thing I've like better is a full motordyne system and I have a FI catback 18in resonated with berk resonated test pipes. All the axle backs are basically the same so should sound pretty sweet paired with any name brand resonated test pipe. I don't mind the test pipe smell at all but you should definitely look into a tune soon after. I originally had FI hfcs and I still threw a check engine light so I ditched those and got admin tuned. Monceif tuned out the code and now I've gone full gay with a flame tune. Worth every penny.

Vibrant resonators will bump up the sound and are a great combo with the Tanabe.
