Downstream o2 Sensor Removal

So i recently purchased some test pipes to put onto my 09’ g37 coupe. I managed to put them on and remove the cats, yet i can’t get the o2 sensors out of them and put them onto the test pipes. I went to the store to get a o2 sensor remover socket and it just kept slipping based on how tight it is into the cats. I need help on what i should do to get them out. I even ordered some cheap o2 sensors just to put in my car for now. But if i can get the original ones out, i’d rather do that. I’m doing this on my own and i’m new to learning cars, so can anyone give me ideas?

Sounds like you’d have to use something like pbblaster, liquid wrench, or heat to get it out but you’d probably end up damaging the sensor. Also, if it’s already stripped you may not want to reuse them anyway so you’re better off replacing them. You can bring it to a shop to see if they can get it out for you. Good luck.

There are 02 emulators out there...
Just just make sure you get the ones that aren't simply resistors, as the ECM it's looking for a consistent signal form

They have a slip socket that has a cut on the side so wire wont interfere with removing it

I always use(d) a proper sized box wrench or a pipe wrench. Those "slip on" sockets are nothing but pieces of absolute crap- never had one work yet.
