Y Pipe Vibration

So I installed ISR test pipes and Y pipe to go with my Top Speed Pro 1 (y-back) exhaust. I know adding TP's will add rasp, and i'm totally fine with that, but at 3k rpms I now have this weird metallic vibration sound (imagine closing a slinky really fast, but higher pitch and louder)... I lifted the car up and went under while a friend worked the gas pedal, I thought it was going to be a failed gasket or an exhaust leak, but come to find out everything is sealed perfectly. The noise is from the braided metal wiring of the flex pipe resonating. Around 3k rpms you can visually see a lengthwise contraction and expansion of the braided wiring corresponding to the noise.

So I know this is probably caused by pressure waves in the exhaust from adding the test pipes and Y pipe, but anyone ever had this happen? Any way to correct it? I was thinking about removing the OEM rubber insulators that hang on the factory Y and welding them onto the new one to see if it helps, but this is such an oddball that I also wonder if there some sort of defect...

Thoughts?

Normal. The cats dampen a lot of the sound waves. Mine does this too. Aftermarket resonated Y pipe and still get it.

Do the band clamps around the flex area actually help eliminate unwanted vibration noises?
