Ok guys. I know this issue has alot of threads and posts on the forums. Ive looked around and done sone research for a few days now but i am still not getting a for sure answer on this. If you take your throttle bodies away from the intake plenum and clean the back side without unplugging them. Do you have to do a relearn process on the ecu? Is this a scenario that is by car? Meaning even if you dont unplug anything and are extremely careful with the butterfly flap can you still end up having to do the relearn process? Again. I am sorry for bringing this up. But still seems to be a disputed issue. Thanks for any advice. The dealership wants 289.00 to do an induction cleaning. So i am debating if its worth the money to have them do that or for me to clean TBs.

 

My understanding is relearning will necessary because the dirt gap at the end (closed position) will no longer be there. This results in more air coming in, thus more fuel, and higher idle rpm. One of motorvate's video's makes reference to an app that does the relearn without any pedal dance or other nonsense.
