Exhaust experts help me

I recently bought & installed Megan racing resonated test pipes onto my 2011 G37x coupe. I got them installed at a shop & that is the only modification I’ve done to my car (just got it a month ago). After driving it around i noticed that around 2k-3k rpms it sounds very tinny, or a very bad buzzing noise. Now i sound like a Honda. Does anybody know why this is? I’d really like to hear my VQ without cringing. (Also i listened to plenty of other G’s with Megan TP online & none of them sounded like this. Could it be an installation issue?).

Have you heard any other cars with TP in real life?

I think you're just hearing the rasp that everyone complains about.

Take a video with your phone and see if it sounds the same as the ones you see online.

Sorry, but that's rasp... Moderate with HFCs, very noticable with test pipes. It's pretty surprising when you hear it the first time in person. It sounds like a big chunk of metal is rattling loose under the car when everything was installed fine. Welcome to the start of being obsessed with finding your perfect exhaust setup.

There is actually a tinny sound if its the same thing I'm referring too as well. Me and another member who both run the E370 on our Sedan said the same thing. its very minor but I do have a video of it on my phone. I'll try and upload it to YouTube one of these days.

But if it sounds like a little rattle / tinny noise right around 3k and you can mimic it if you want everytime you hit 3k. But yeah I have it but idk what it is. Running E370 + z1 HFC

But if its a HISS , then sorry, but most Exhausts have it .

Edit: Uploaded the Video, is it this Tinny / raspy sound you're talking about ? If not... Looks like I got my own problem.

Welcome to the rasp life. It's pretty common when paired with the stock exhaust.

I believe a muffler delete with test pipes will be rasp city. If you check on YouTube, there are countless of videos with various configurations.

Muffler delete + test pipes will absolutely be rasp city and loud as fk. Even resonated test pipes with a muffler delete will be rasp city and loud as fk. Would not recommend.

Speaking from experience.

Don't think about removing the resonators either. Just grab some HFCs or something
