Was wondering everyone’s option in Takeda and Stillen intake looking to get one next week.
I suspect this question has been asked 1000 times on every single Z/G forum. C'mon, man.
The Takeda looks cleaner (IMO) because the MAF sensors are on the underside, unlike the Stillen. Also, people have managed to install the Takeda without dropping the bumper, which is a plus. Although I'm none too keen on crushing those rubber couplers in the rectangular inlets, but whatever. Probably doesn't matter.
I removed the bumper AND enlarged the inlet holes.
Yeah, that's exactly what I'd want to do. Get the Takeda, and drop the bumper for a solid job on the install. I still might someday, just for something to do.
With respect to how they look, I've seen both numerous times, and I honestly think the Takeda is a more attractive design. Here's a good pic of the Takeda. I'd ditch the decals, but definitely get the splash guard. I think that's just polished aluminum, with no nickle-plating or paint. Or maybe it's chrome plated. I suspect it's clear-coated, but IDK. I think it would look really good in a black chrome powdercoat.

I live in ma and the winters here are rough sometimes and it does rain all there too so I’ll prolly run a splash guard and I’m prolly going to go with Takeda a lot of people seem to like them and easier install. Any other mods you guys recommend got my catback system rims and saving up for coil overs
I enjoy my Stillen Gen 3, didn't have to remove my bumper at all so idk about all that and I got for a bit below pricing stated above; so all positives for me lol
Long intakes work better after car gets moving since it has to draw air further than and short ram...and heat soak isnt as bad as some think with a short ram if you got a heat shield like in kn kit
