How to Get the Most Power out of the G (3k Budget)

Currently, I have a stock 09 Sedan with the only "modification" being a muffler delete. This summer I plan on saving up to upgrade my car but I am wondering what exactly I can buy to get the most power out of the about $3000 that I intend on saving up.

This is what I was Thinking of Buying (Could definitely use some suggestions on this part)

Motordyne M370 Intake Manifold - $692
Takeda CAI - $474
Fast Intentions RHFC - $640
Tanabe Coilovers - $800
K&N Drop In Filters - $120
Tune + Detailing - $600

All This stuff would already be over budget (~3326) and Im not sure what to take out. Also with the additional power im going to likely need new wheels/tires. If someone could help me refine my list or offer a better one it would be much appreciated. Trying to figure all this is giving me a headache lol

Save up another 3k and go with TopGunz SC kit.

If you want to maximize your power / dollar with bolt-ons:

Remove M370 IM - $700 for minimal gains and losses in some areas of the power band. If anything, buy a used OEM IM off of ebay and bore it out yourself for $100-150.

Skip the CAI and run just drop in K&N filters while replacing the bendy straw arms of the OEM intakes. Modify the stock boxes for more noise and airflow .

Tune will run more that $600 and if you read the detailing section of this forum you can basically give your car a detailed like finish at home for $100 in products. Save up and do the tune another year. You can use the saved cash you were going to use to buy the CAI/ m370 to grab a catback exhaust, Y-back, or have an exhaust upgrade you to 2.25-2.5'' piping from Y-back.

Summer tires would be great to grab with the extra cash; and if you're an X model, grab a coupe sport RSB or 370Z RSB to dramatically improve the handling.

I figured I’d get a response like this, but I’m wondering what parts in specific I should go with as there are Sooo many options. Also the afformentionted forum is a few years old so I figure things may have changed a little since then.

Agree with RMB but if you want to splurge for intake, get admin intake.

Nice start. My two cents, if you get the CAI, then don't need the K&N filters (saved $120). Since power is your immediate goal, then put that $120 savings towards finishing the exhaust. Get the sways first ($400) before the coilovers, put that savings towards finishing the exhaust.

Using the classifieds on here, the 370 and other sites could get you more savings. Theoretically, one could get a tune and not dyno. So skip the detailing and use all the used parts savings towards some dyno time once you get the tune. Good luck.

I suggest the following!
Intake manifold: Get z1 ported upper or get your own one ported.
Cai: get a Stillen Gen 3 instead
Plan on getting Test Pipes instead of HFC for the best gains.
Full Exhaust
Uprev tune with Arc

Don't know if it'll be in budget but look for used deals!

Test pipes suck for anyone following you. The raw gas smell is atrocious.

Correct, I meant as the intake/tune option, go that route. I'm biased so I'm going to say Motordyne all the way, ART pipes and CBE.
