Haha clearly there are multiple opinions. What are you looking for? Maximum power? Look at cold air. Stillen Gen 3 are a favorite here but if you want an easier install go with Takeda. If you just want looks and added sound then any short ram will do.

yeah admin tuning give you the most gains but also require a tune unlike the rest.

How are Takeda's easier to install?

Unless you want to deform and crush the rubber coupling/bend.....I cut the bumper support on mine.

Short Ram: sound
Long Tubes: power

If you go by the instructions it's easier than the stillen. It's not necessary to make any cuts as you can just slide the rubber coupling through the opening. If I went with the Takeda I wouldn't want to cut the opening and risk a sharp edge damaging the rubber. Sure you have to compress it a little but for someone that wants a cai and doesn't want to cut their car it's a good alternative.

Have you installed a Takeda? Maybe the coupe has more of an opening than the sedan

I have the Takeda, and the rubber coupling was really bent and deformed, enough so that I thought 'no way' am I leaving it like this.

I cut and then put a grinding stone on my Dremel to smooth everything out, then hit it with a file, then sand paper. Years later....no issues.

Nope, I have a Stillen Gen 3 but I've seen an install video and it didn't look bad at all. Glad you did it the right way. To each his own.

Long intakes are like snorkels it will take more effort off the line to draw air. Just like trying to drink a soda with a e foot straw vs right out of the can

Long-tube intakes tend to make a little more torque, short tubes a little more hp. Said another way, long tubes richen the mid-range while short tubes richen the top end.
