Does g37s actually have a different exhaust than the base?(video)

I was looking around for aftermarket exhaust systems and found out about the sport muffler that comes from infiniti. But what isnt clear is if this is the same one that comes stock on the sport models (g37s) and would only make a difference on the base and journeys(g37) or if you can put this sport muffler on a already sport G. Confusing i know but i found some comments in a video claiming the stock on this g37S sounds louder than theirs and it got me thinking. Also could anyone tell me if this is or isnt the SPORT muffler.
Its a comparison to the motordyne exhaust but below in the comments you can see what im talkimg about

G37s and base share same muffler. There's a dealer option called the sports muffler.

No that's just a stock exhaust. I think the IPL has a slightly different exhaust.

ipl does have a different muffler than the g37s/base muffler. Trust me it doesnt sound better at all. Infact the stock base/g37s sounds better which is what im using now. The dealer option sports muffler sounds much better deeper but for 800 its a no go. A better option would be aam competition resonated short tails!

I had the same question as you, did extensive research.

G37s does not come automatically with "sport muffler"
It comes with stock muffler by default.

no tune needed. Tune helps extract the most out of your mods but isnt needed per se. Full bolt ones isnt needed but help tremendously get the most from the mods

The only drivetrain difference between a base/journey and a JourneyS/Sport is that the pulley on the S/Sport has 7 ribs as opposed to 6 on the base.

pretty sure it's just the pulley, but I could be mistaken. I haven't torn down the motor yet.

lmao I fully agree. Crappiest part about comparing exhaust notes on youtube was realizing the base exhaust sounded way better in every comparison. The only system that sounds better is gthaus. But who wants to pay for that?
