Muffler shop took my cats
As long as you didn't sign a paper saying the cats belong to them after the install, you can file a police report and if they can't give you the cats back they will have to buy you new ones. Also what brand is the test pipes?
That is totally wrong. I wouldn't walk out without my stock cats. I hope your issue gets resolved. I got my stock parts no issues. I would write bad review, police report and also contact bbb
That seems like a lot of trouble though, I am still debating it. They are Fast Intentions resonated test pipes that I ordered new for $430. They took a month to be shipped, but the overall packaging and build quality is truly unmatched. They came in a really fancy, thick bubble wrap and the welds are flawless. Prior to these pipes, my only exhaust mods were muffler delete with tips and it just made my exhaust note deeper with burbles. With these, the sound with the stock exhaust is high-pitched and aggressive with little to no rasp. The only cons for me would be the smell and noise level. I completely underestimated how loud these test pipes would be without a muffler.
That was my first mistake. I shouldn't have walked out the shop after my install was done. My cats were on the ground and I should've got the authorities involved when one of the mechanics told me I couldn't have them back. I plan on writing a bad review and reporting it to the BBB.
Yeah you need to raise more hell and threaten them with legal action if you need to. And whatever you do, DO NOT have them "fix" your CEL. Go to someone reputable, hell at this point go to the dealership. They sound like complete fuktards and rip off artists. Man up and put some fear into them, don't be the nice guy you seem to be. Be a d!ck like them....only way they will respond. Sadly I think you may be too late, your cats are more than likely gone. Good luck bruh...honestly
Man that really sucks Yellafella. Really hoping the shop will do right by you and give back your cats.
What a rip off. You can pick up the nonfoulers at your local auto parts store for $6-$7 and drill out the hole big enough to fit the sensor yourself.

Any updates OP? This is a very sad thread
BTW, haven't heard anyone with the FI Test pipes that's had problems with CELs, my OBX pipes that use the same O2 port design hasn't thrown any CELs in over 20k miles.
G/L w/ this BS, that shop needs to get blasted w/ rotten PR.

We already know the shop is a thief and dishonest.
$100 is super cheap for Cat install.
Maybe the original agreement with the shop was $100 plus OEM cats?
