Stillen Gen3 vs. Injen Cold Air Intake

Anyone know which ones is better?

Seems like Stillen's are a lot easier to install since it sits in front of the radiator, whereas the Injen ones goes down to behind the fog lights/in front of the wheel wells. Also, Stillen's are higher up, so less likely to get water inside.

In terms of HP gained at the wheels, they're pretty comparable.

If it is just the difference in installation, I will probably go with the Stillen's.

Any opinions? Suggestions? Comments?

Injens require you to swap wiper fluid tanks and if sensor is not transfered no dummy light will work on dash. I think stillen design yield a bit more hp since it's drawing cool air behind grill.

Side note not sure if injen require cutting the radiator support but stillen does. To avoid go with Takeda instead

Stillen for sure the quality is far better! The Stillen will need you to dremel the core support for the intakes to sit on. I would recommend taking it to a performance shop unless your are really good at installation it's not just plug and play

I would definitely go with stillen just because of the filters location

Had a g35 with AEM cold air intake that was right infront of the wheel wells. damn that was scary but it sounded awesome!!!!

You don't need to dremel it, just get a small plastic saw and go at it. You can make two parallel cuts, score the plastic, and it just snaps off.

Something like this works: https://www.amazon.com/Xacto-X75300-...rds=x-acto+saw

I did it last night, and the core support was one of the easier bits of the install.

I realize the OP is probably not looking anymore but for the searchers, I went against the grain and got Injens CAI. The air flows into the front grill just as cold and freely as the fog light spots with the faux grills removed so comparing filter placement between the two brands is a wash. I solely went with Injen so I could put my oil, PS and trans coolers in the front grill instead of the SG3 filters and still have some flow for the radiator left, not to mention it was almost $200 cheaper. There's just too many variables with getting a dyno to REALLY say which is best when there are tons of peoples threads around here, 6MT and My370z showing numbers all over the place. Its a total toss up, some get 16hp while others get 3hp... I think as long as you're getting the filters out of the engine bay it doesn't matter which brand you grab.
