Injens Installed (Couple of hints) My Opinion

So the total amount of time to install mine were 1 1/2 hrs. My husband and his friend did the install. The only thing that we(we'll them) did a little different than Maxtogo37 is:

Drivers Side: They didn't remove the tire or the inner skirt. They were able to slide the CAI in with just moving 2 things out of the way. One was the horn, loosened the bolt and repositioned, 2nd, lossened the bolt for the AC line and slide the CAI into the pocket. Reconnected the airconditioning line and one side good to go.

Passenger side: The tire and the skirt definitely needs to come off for this side. Once they removed the tire and skirt they has access to remove the original water bottle. They first made sure that the new water bottle fit correctly, and then with a 1 1/8 drill bit they cut the hole in the bottle to add the sensor. Put the gromet in place with a 3M 5200 marine sealer to assure that there would be no leaks and then pressed the sensor back into the washer bottle. Reinstalled the washer bottle, then installed the CAI. I am only going to show one pic of the washer fluid bottle with the sensor installed. MaxtotheG did a great job with all the other pics. Don't need to re-see them.

Things that I like: Love the sound of the CAI's. You can definitely feel the power difference in the higher RPM's with them. You can also hear the air being sucked up into CAI's. Gives it a throatier sound. Love it.

A couple of things that I don't like: I am not sure what type of stainless steel was used but it wasn't as thick as I expected. My own personal opinion. I have a scrathes on both tubes and some dents on the tubes which I am not happy about. Now before you ask, they did not scratch or dent them, this is how they came. Especially around the bend in the CAI's that there were scratches.

So next thing is the dyno. That will be done within the next couple of days. SO we will see what the gains will be. stay tuned.

Glad to hear you like it, Carolyn!!! Thanks for the review. I'd call Injen and see if they can send you new pipes. That's not right and we'd expect better. I'm sure they will take care of you.

Very nice...I will be tackling this Sunday with a buddy that works for Stage 6 motorsports here in Jax. Shop tools & lift FTW. Still undecided if I want to attempt the sensor.

Thanks guys, in reference to the sensor for the washer fluid bottle, just take your time and if your going to use the marine sealant you shouldn't have any problems. I have no leaks at all. If you use a different one just make sure that you let it dry before you add the washer fluid.

Excellent info, thanks! Now to make sure I read it correctly, you used a
1 and 1/8 inch drill bit?? And also where does one find 3m 5200 marine sealer?

Yes, 1 1/8 drill bit. And you can purchase the marine sealer at any marine place (West Marine)(Boat US) its used for underwater lighting.
