Even though you live in Harris County, you're not (yet) subject to visual inspection. That might change very soon. See the politics forum. As it is, cats in good condition don't cause much, if any, back pressure and shouldn't be a cause for concern. Be kind to the environment (and my lungs), keep the stock cats or go with the HFC option.
