My black nickel changed colors and started chipping within 1 month.stay away from it.its CRAP.i left a bad review on tuner store. And they removed it.400 for a crap intake.should of bought stillen.

 

I don't have any reviews from you. If you purchased the intake from us and had issues within a month, why didn't you contact us or the manufacturer? You would not be the first person to have issues and as always we get them taken care of. But not reporting the issues with whoever you purchased the intake from and then bad mouthing it doesn't make sense.

 

I've had mine for over two years, and it looks great. Each Spring, I disassemble the unit, and clean it thoroughly. Odds are you received a pair of mid-pipes that were not properly prepped for the plating process. Sometimes stuff just happens, man.

And from the tone of your comment, you handled the situation very poorly. Reputable retailers and manufacturers will stand behind product. Tunerz and R2C are both reputable, IMO, so the problem must be you, not them.

Yea the problem was me moron.i made the mistake of buying it.its my fault it started changing color and peeling.your brainless.yes the intake works great.the filters are great.its my mistake of buying the black nickel.i can have any tone i want. Not everything is made perfect.

 

And still no contact from you in regards to your issue. Why is that?

 

Cuz its to late now.its peeling and changed colors and is dull.i dont even daily drive my car.i tryed cleanning it and nothing.id rather sell it then go to the hassel of taking it off shipping it waiting.and so forth.sorry.

I know this is old, but to put this to rest... when I spoke to R2C last year to order a set, they said the black nickel was unavailable because they had an issue with the finish chipping off, and they were trying to find a new supplier to do it.

Always fun and always embarrassing to re-read my own old comments, particularly when members talk at each other. Suppose if I were a Mod then, I wouldn't have provoked him, or at the least I would have shut it down. So I guess I'll shut this down now, seeing as how R2C is done.
