For the injector rails and lower manifold I checked torque with torque wrench before removing bolts and Re torqued it to that.

Yesterday I did the ported stock lower, ported m370 upper, ported tb's, and changed my plugs. Overall feels great, definitely notice much better mid range which was my goal. Besides that I also have stillen gen 3s and fast intentions rhfc and catback

I get it tuned in 2 weeks so I'm excited for that.

Nice! In for the results! If I don't go FI, I'm doing all of this. I think I'm debating on whether or not I track (road course) this car. If so, I'll stick with breather mods, if I keep it as a daily, it'll go FI. But before I decide, I really want to see what this engine is capable of with all the breather/cooling mods. There's plenty of documentation (good and bad) of FI conversions on this motor. Considering that it's about 50/50 with motor problems, I'd have a lot of reservations about tracking it.

From: Framingham Ma,
So I went and picked up my ported lower from Grantie State tuning. I wasn't really happy with the job they left lips and a grove in every runner :/, The casting marks, they tried to tell me the lip would make zero difference. I cleaned them up anyways when I got home and the install went perfect, The hardest part for my was the fuel rail attachment to the regulator stock fitment is very snug and almost zero wiggle room. I got some drive time on it last night really didn't get on it too hard( Wife was with me) But theres something there just not sure what or how much yet the upper mid ranges feels really good tho I should have more this week.

on to the pics, First pic is the lip they left in every runner last one is after I cleaned it up( smoothed it out)

From: Framingham Ma,
So with some drive time behind the wheel I can say this is worth it ! There is definitely something there the exhaust note has changed , More burble, car builds up quicker and more( Seat feel) and top end really feels more of a swell ( If I’m saying that right) it feels like a level off like its flying? LOL. I also made 2 runs before I lost the DAMN OBDII plug for my UPREV and the cars lean up top, 13’s. So the there is more flow as I was around 12.1-12.3 before I swapped over the ported lower. I have a dyno set for June 6th at 9am so we’ll see. But if you can get this done I’d say do it.

I totally agree with this. Last week installed my ported lower, ported m370 and ported throttle bodies aND have noticed a much better off the line and mid range power. Also have my UpRev tune scheduled for the 28th of this month. All well worth it.

So did you end up doing a dyno run tuned to the Z1 and a tuned to the m370?

I Just wanted to see what the difference the 2 made tuned.

Where are you all getting your ported TB's and manifolds from? This would probably only be beneficial if you have all of them ported right?

From: Framingham Ma,
I had the M370 ported by Scott@Synergy still haven't decided if I want to keep or sell it. It's never been on the car. The lower plenum on the car was done by a local place, My other one is on its way to Scott@Synergy, I will be selling one of them. I don't have ported Tb's yet. If I do will be from Scott@Synergy again .

Good info ANMVQ ...

Plan on pulling my stock upper plenum this weekend for cleaning and possibly cleaning up the ports with some sandpaper?

Would you suggest using a dremel or sand by hand? Any suggestions?

Thanks to everyone for the detailed manifold pictures, I feel like I could get close to z1 plenum quality or at least clean up the same spots they improve.
