Cold Air Intake
For what it's worth, I researched the exact 2 you are looking at and settled on the r2c because it was easier to install and maintain along with the fact that my G is my daily and I was hesitant to have an intake with filters in front of the radiator with the weather I get in Missouri even with the rain guard. The only noticeable difference I've seen is how my intake screams at WOT throttle along with my muffler delete. I love the sound of my car when I get on it!
Takeda is a cold air intake. It should be and is better. Only slight problem is installation. If you are not really that much into making your car the fastest possible, then just go with the R2C and enjoy an easy DIY install.
Takeda is more expensive and much more difficult to install (compared to the R2C).
Takada is a true CAI, with better gains. If you're going to get your car tuned eventually, you should probably go with the long-tube design.
However, the Black Nickel midpipes on the R2C kit are freaking beautiful. If you're into engine bling, I think the R2C is a more attractive set-up.
There is no wrong answer.

And +1000 on the black nickel r2c! No regrets on getting mine either.

Are you sure about them being more expensive.? 332.81$ free shipping?
And that whole "R2C midrange" argument is what sold me on R2C. That, the beautiful setup, and the easier install.
However, when the day comes around for me to get the car tuned, I've always planned on replacing the R2C with the Takeda.

You'll be needing that splash shield on the Takeda, so add $60 to the bottom line. However, that's still a great price. Go for it!
At the meet-up last Spring, I think it was Connor who had his Takeda mid-pipes powdercoated in this beautiful gray. That's always something to consider... a little tasteful customization.
