That's an interesting way to look at this.

Water under the bridge, but still... SMH.

kinda how I feel now except without the wait and less and about a 150$ premium

it would be interesting if someone compared the two

maybe when my FI cats eventually go I ll pick those Z1 HFC up while the FI ones are being fixed

I like the design of those Z1 cats, however they aren't resonated... I'm not too sure how they would sound along with a catback. Yes, Z1 advertised that "rasp" doesn't exist however I thought the only way to remove that was by using a resonator on the HFC end?

I've posted this pic in other threads, but it's really on-topic here.

This is the custom work I had done to hang the FI RHFC's off the transmission casing with the OEM support bar.

So let me get this right, I paid over 100 and change bucks more for my FI cats, waited a month, have hilarious hiss on decel, and now I have to worry about my cats breaking at the welds because they did not design their cats to work with the OEM brace...................when I could have gotten z1 (has oem brace attachment, not sure about hiss) cats for under $400 shipped in under a week?

Someone please tell me that our FI cats provide at least 5 more hp then the Z1's.........

Also, at least FI guarantees no CEL light unlike Z1.

Should be identical, assuming cell count and diameter.

There is that. The FI J-bung connectors are the way to go for confidence that you don't trip a CEL.

I've been running my FI cats for around 2 years now with no issues. Even when I took them off to replace my gaskets, the integrity of the welds was in tact.

Well...I'm getting my MXP double resonated test pipes installed tomorrow.
Will post after install, comparing the sound of MXP vs FI RHFC.

Considering the fi rhfc. I've read alot about the sound, but haven't seen much info on real world gains. Does the car pull noticeably harder with rhfc and oem catback?
I'm getting older so I don't want alot of addt'l sound anymore but would like a little more power. Thx and Merry Christmas everyone!

So do you think the Z1s would fit an x coupe?

I do notice the hiss a lot more recently - not sure what has caused that. Also I think the gaskets I have for my RHFCs need to be replaced.

I'm curious to see how the Z1 HFCs perform. Aside from the location of the O2 sensor, a j-bung could easily be installed at the expense of a few welds.

listen to my vid on here I have them and I catback and they sound better than the FIRHFC's IMO, Yes I had both

no cells, extended bungs built in work great. I have ZERO complaints. Great product and under $400 shipped !

Link to your video? How about the deceleration hiss - does that exist on the Z1 pipes?
