Talking Just installed my new intakes (Injen)

Hi guys. I just installed my new intakes with a couple of my buddies, and my god was it a pain in the a$$ to get that bumper off. It took us about three to four hours to get the whole job done keep in mind this is the first mod i do on my car. Anyways after everything was done, put the bumper back on and closed the hood, took the car for a spin, the only thing i can say is wow i fell in love with noise the car makes now. It felt like i was in a totally different car. Anyways my main reason why i posted this thread is that i wanted to ask do i need to reset my ECU or reset anthing ? The car runs and seems fine, but what do you usually do after installing a new mod ?

Here's a couple of pics, (pic's are a bit blurry)

Congrats! It's a lot more rewarding doing it yourself too makes the car feel like it gained 50whp

Congrats on the install! To answer your question it is recommended to unhook your battery to and reconnect the battery to put the car back into reset mode. If you recall during the intake installation you moved the MAF sensors from your oem intake to your Injen intakes.

^^Either way will get the job done. The pedal trick is faster if you can get the timing right.

I think if you do it the pedal way you won't lose your seat & window settings.
Enjoy your new "angry VQ"

Before installing you're suppose to disconnect the battery so upon completion of install you should be good to go. If windows roll down automatically upon exiting the car just roll them all the way up and continue holding the buttons for 5sec and then roll all the way down and hold wind buttons for 5secs and you should be good there after.

Doesn't the ecu adjust itself automatically after a few drives ?

I also installed mine a few months ago and it was a gruesome install. I just drive it hard for the first 30-ish miles for the ecu to adapt.

well from what i read i i guess the only difference is that stillen required me to cut throw the front of the car which I DO mind. and Injen was to remove the bumper which i dont mind. as in performance wise each company claims to give 15- 17 hp which in my opinion i claim BS

Be careful when going into puddles...I heard the Injen's suck up water especially since they sit lower in the bumper.
