Sold the CBE, need some help
I recently bought the sport coupe 19's from a member on here, i havent put them on yet because my tires still have some life in them and i need some extra money for tires. ive been contemplating selling my ark cat back for a while, i happened to stumble upon someone who wanted it so i sold it.
i had the ark removed today and the OEM exhaust installed. man is the stock exhaust QUIET! im not too surprised since the ark is pretty loud and ive had it for a while.. but it felt like i was driving a hybrid.
im considering getting RHFC's but keeping the stock cat back. ive searched and searched but couldnt find a video or person talking about FI RHFC with stock exhaust. the general consensus seems that FI RHFC is the way to go if you dont want hiss/rasp/drone. this sounds like a dumb question but would the FI RHFC change the sound on the stock exhaust? im looking for a deeper/louder note coming out of my exhaust, but i DO NOT want to get another CBE or an ABE.
1. this is already addressed but to help you guys out, will the FI RHFC make the stock exhaust louder? would i be better off just going with the non resonated HFC?
2. how do you guys in cali deal with the extra emissions? i keep hearing that getting HFC in cali is NOT worth it..
3. can anyone out there with the setup im looking for post a sound/video clip?!

Oh sorry, but the stock exhaust felt like it was a hybrid. I can now hear my r2c intakes haha. But you know what, I had my friend rev my engine while I stodd by the exhaust, and on the revdown near the end I can hear a hiss. I don't know where its coming from, do you think its from poor installation?

Your probably right but I did think the ark was pretty darn loud. A little too loud, should I go non resonated for more volume? Or do the resonators just get rid of the hiss/rasp and not volume?

as much as i loved the sound, personally it was too loud. i felt like some of the classy feel of the sedan was lost with the ark. like i said i was on the fence about it, thinking about not selling until i found someone who wanted it.

I have the ARK on my sedan and I wish it was louder. I have the R2C as well.
I am actually thinking of skipping the resonated HFC/TP and going non resonated when I end up replacing the stock cats.
I heard a video clip on here with someone with a sedan wi ARK, R2C, and FI RHFC and I still didn't think that THAT was loud. Adding resonated HFC might even make the car more quiet than with stock HFC. Change the tone I'm sure, but not volume....didn't seem like it anyway.
