i live in florida where it rains 70% of the time and i have not had an issue with the gen 3 sucking in water. nor has anyone else i know that has them. the shield from stillen does a good job at keeping water off the filters.

houston here. monsoons all the time. the splash guard has been pretty effective in keeping water out. the little bit that might get though is basically vaporized by the time it makes it to the throttle body anyways.

I drove 80 miles through hard rain today and no issues here, very well protected from hydrolocking. Shields do their job!

I would PM the Stillen reps on here, or contact Stillen directly for you're answer.

Because of the location of the filters, unless someone has one laying around they haven't installed yet, no one is going to remove their front bumper or grill to measure the filter.

He didn't say he was going to do it for you lol, he said if it was him in your position "I WOULD."

Btw, I've had the G3 on my G in South FL for 6 months+ and I've never had an issue.

On my G6, I ran the K&N splash cover because the filter was located behind the fog light and got lots of dirt around it. Never had an issue with waterlocking.

Now I run the Gen 3 system on my G, without the filter covers. Though the filters are located behind the grill, the included splash shield works good enough in deflecting water. If your in a dusty area, you still should be good, but you'll need to clean your filters more often.
