why would you want to go cheap on an intake?

You'll get what you pay for.

If I remember correctly K&N and R2C are priced the lowest but still aren't cheap.
Are you thinking like cheap cheap? eBay has some things under $150 I wouldn't go that route though.

You can get almost any G37 intake for that range.
There's a few vendors on here who run promotions or offer lowest prices, I'd search for some sound clips here and on youtube, find one you like then hunt it down.

300-500 is cheap? lol. I think long tube is a way to go. Stillen or Takeda. Takeda is easier to install thats why I got it. Still was pain in the a** since bumper has to come off. R2C should be easy one.

How about just get the K&N drop in? The factory air box has pretty good design already, and it's drawing cold air as well.. Definitely cheaper than most replacement intakes.

I found the short ram. There's another option though I was unable to find.

Cheapest intake is the stock intake, stick with it if you want to go with the cheap route
