R2C Installed!
R2C Installed!
Hey everyone,
Just installed the R2C last night and am very impressed. First off, the sound is incredible. Really sounds much meaner from 3k and up. Its much louder than I was expecting, which was a welcome result. I also do think it pulls harder, but maybe it is just the sound fooling me into that. The other nice gain is in fuel economy. I have a long commute and when I am cruising I will see right around 26-26.5. However, I reset the fuel economy and saw 28.9 for the majority of the commute. I threw in a couple of short blasts and wound up with 27.7. Overall, I'd say that is a healthy gain.
In regards to the install, it was rather simple, but the instructions are not that great. The pics are hard to make out. I did have an issue with the passenger side being higher than the driver and I adjusted it as low as possible, but I still had to push on that side a little for the hood to close. Is that normal? The driver side was not an issue. I also don't think the little rubber seal on the passenger side airbox was included. Not sure how much of a difference that makes, but I'll need to look in the box again to make sure it isn't there.
Overall, I am very pleased with this first mod. Thinking of drop springs next (eibach). Might hold off a while for exhaust, price is a little too high for my taste right now, unless I find a great price on here.
