Am i paying too much for these mods?

For starters i have a 2011 g37 sedan and want a new intake and exhaust. ive been emailing stillen to see if i can get a deal for both their intake and exhaust and this kind woman has offered the intake gen 3 + catback + installation for 1800.

what do you guys think?

it's not terrible with install. stillen just had some deal where you bought an exhaust and got the gen3 for free.

might be still going on.

It's $1900.00 by itself purchased online.

You're getting it for $1800.00 installed? Go for it!!

You wont regret the Stillen combo!

Was it Margaret??

Now talk her into a deal for an UpRev tune while you're there!!!

Contact Josh@stillen here on the forum, see if he can persuade his company!!

Actually thats why I emailed them. I read the thread about that in this forum and tried to ask if they would still offer it.. deal is over with but the sales rep is cutting a deal for me.

Haha yes actually it is Margaret.

Are you sure about $1900 online? If i go on stillen's site then the CBE is selling for 1073 and the intake is 550, so 1723 after tax?

I'm getting 200 dollars off after tax but i guess my other main question is if 300 dollars is too much for an installation.

I have a few more questions if anyone could help me..

what does it mean to 'tune' your car after getting a CBE and CAI? I just read a thread where it talked about getting your tuned after installing CBE and CAI.

also.. anyone who has the stillen CBE.. does your exhaust sound like this?

2012 g37 xs stillen cold air intake gen 3 , stillen cat back exhaust - YouTube

it just sounds a little too high pitch and ricey IMO... i watched a bunch of other vids and they all have a deeper tone.. i know it could be the camera or something else but just want to hear from people who have the exhaust if it is high pitched or deep and throaty.
