Exhaust for Auto

Will it be useless to get an exhaust for an automatic g37 coupe? I mean I'm not looking to gain any more than 5 hp max , getting it mostly for sound.

Will it sound weird or ridiculous, because with an auto its shifting by itself rather than a manual where u can rev up to 4k making it sound amazing. (and I know I can manual shift) but I don't want to be manual shifting 24/7 just so my exhaust doesn't sound right.

Please people with exhausts on their auto help me make my decision I will really appreciate it.

The exhaust will sound fine with an auto. Many (prob the majority) of the members here that have exhausts have an auto and most will attest that they sound great. I loved the sound on both of mine (HKS and a custom Magnaflow setup).
