I mean whats the point of getting high flow cats...........if they smell too?

I mean as long as you dont get a code.....your going to pass emissions....for the exception of cali,

somebody chime in here.........I thought the whole point of getting cats was to avoid the smell

Thanks
They have less restriction, so they allow for better exhaust flow increasing performance.

What is with people and the smell thing? They just smell a little which is nothing compared to if you had test pipes. Also, the smell is behind you, it’s not like it comes in the car or anything. And also aren’t you car guys??? You should love the that smell. It smells like racing to me.

The reason for High Flow Cats is to be able to pass emissions in all states but CA. If you get Test pipes and not HFC’s then you will not pass inspection

Just the normal exhaust smell. Sometimes it's stronger with aftermarket exhaust or cats... I love the smell of it first thing in the morning, but that's me.

California has very strict inspections. Most other places you could probably get away with test pipes depending where you take it... I had 10% tint on my old car and the guy passed me, but told me to get it changed for next time. I just went to another place and they said the same thing the following year.
