For those installing R2C intakes. Please read.

I brought this issue with Ed at R2C yesterday.

It seems that some of the air filters shipped without the mold release agent being cleaned off of the inside throat.
The filters will slip off, tightening the hose clamp will only result in the filter popping off during install, (similar to pinching a watermelon seed).

Use isopropyl alcohol, and clean the inside filter throat until it's no longer slick.
Also clean the intake tube area that the filter will go around.

Let the alcohol dry, then install.

i had that problem, but i just got it to work eventually, just slowly tightened it, thanks for letting them know thought!

ed still hasnt send me rubber seal for heatshield... wats up with that?
